Abdul Alim

Abdul Alim: (Bengali আব্দুল আলিম Born on 10 January 1990) in the aristocratic Bengali peasant family of Saljore village on the banks of the Salnodi river in Birbhum district, known as the “Land of Rangamati”. Father’s name is Abu Taleb and mother’s name is Anarjan Begam. Abdul Alim is a noted essayist, novelist, researcher and progressive thinker in the world of literature and culture.

Early life:

Abdul Alim was born on 10 January 1988 in the village of Saljore in Birbhum district. He is the first of three brothers. His mother Anarjan Begam is a housewife and his father Abu Taleb is a farmer. He passed secondary from Lokepur High School in 2006. In 2008, he Higher secendory from Lokepur High School. He then enrolled at Dumka Sidhu Kanhu Murmu University and from there passed BA in 2012 with Honors in Geography. In 2013-14, he passed B.Ed from Kurukshetra University in Rohtak, Haryana. In 2016, he did his M.A in Geography. He is currently pursuing a masters degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (2023-appearing)

Literary career:

Abdul Alim started writing poetry regularly from an early age. Although they were not published anywhere.

The author’s first published book in 2010 was ‘Itihas brikritir proyas’. Although currently the book is confiscated. His first historical novel is ‘Sirajuddaullah’. Published in 2018.

Although the author has a bachelor’s degree in science, he has a special interest in history, which is why he prefers to write historical essays and historical novels. There is also encouragement in any creative endeavor. He is currently associated with the film industry. He also has his own website ‘Nabojagaran’. It regularly publishes various unknown information in the country and abroad including history, science, philosophy, religion, politics, cinema. He is also a regular contributor to magazines like ‘Natun Gati’ Edited by Emdadul Haq Noor and ‘Puber Kolom’ Edited by Ahmed Hasan Imran.

Abdul Alim is one of the young progressive writers of this generation. In 2018, his first historical novel ‘Sirajuddaullah’ was published from ‘Desh Prakashan’. The book received a good response from the readers.

Marital life

In 2012, Abdul Alim married Farha Khatun under family management. Farhan Akhtar and Sufian have two children. Then he got married for the second time in 2023 with a girl named Sabina Khatun.
